Well it is this time of the year again. Sherbrooke's (my hometown) masterclass is now in the preparation stage. It will be held october 10-11-12.
Where: Le Griffon - 19 Wellington N. Sherbrooke, Qc, Canada
When: 10-11-12 October 2009
Cost: 65$ including the figurine and goodies.
Imposed figurine: Horthak

What is a Figostage?
It is an intensive painting class spread on three days. Every principles of miniature painting will be explored starting with the primer and basecoat all the way to the final touches passing by zenithal lighting and perfect blending.
Everyone will be painting the same figurine which will allow work on clothing, sking, face and metallic. The chosen figurine will therefore provide a good medium to experiment with these techniques and also to explore further. Several theoretical concepts will also be explored such as color theory, zenithal lighting, compostion and base conception.
The masterclass will be held over three days. The 2 first days (saturday and sunday) will be intensive days starting at 9am until 9-10pm. The evenings will be a little more relax allowing for personal work or advancing further on the class miniature. The monday (which is a holiday in Canada) will be less intensive. Starting at 10am until 4pm it will be mostly to conclude on different concepts and explore techniques and theories requested by students.
There is no level requirement to attend the class. It is open to everyone. Every students will receive the same theoretical formation and the same technical demonstration. For the hands-on part of the class a 1-on-1 approach is adopted by which every participant receive personalized advice and and instruction to improve his own level.
